Cambodia's textile industry has traditionally focused on garment exports, but there is a surging domestic and regional demand for specialized home textiles. Due to the high humidity and average temperatures in Cambodia, the market is shifting away from heavy synthetic fabrics toward a high-quality bedding set that prioritizes thermal regulation.
Currently, the market is bifurcated between low-cost imports and luxury hotel-grade linens. There is a significant gap for mid-to-high-end poly cotton bed sheets that offer the durability of polyester with the breathability of cotton, making them ideal for the fast-paced hospitality sector in Phnom Penh and Siem Reap.
Environmental consciousness is also rising among Cambodian consumers. This has led to an increased interest in eco-friendly alternatives, where materials like linen bamboo sheets are becoming the gold standard for luxury residential projects due to their natural antibacterial properties and cooling effects.
